Career Summary
I hold 7 years of academic experience followed by 25 years of professional experience working within oil and gas E&P, the major part as consultant. In recent years I have been fortunate to able to do petrophysical formation evaluation for a geothermal operator also.
I started specializing in petrophysics in 1992 during my 3rd year at university and completed my studies with an MSc in theoretical and applied petrophysics. I have worked exclusively with petrophysics, reservoir geology and petroleum geoscience since 1992. As petrophysicist and development geologist I have specialised in low-mobility reservoirs and hold 25 years of experience working with chalk reservoirs. In recent years I have worked with super low-mobility diatomite reservoir which is a true unconventional reservoir as well as a fun challenge. Further, I consider myself a data integration specialist with special competence and interest in NMR data. Over the years I acquired competence and experience as technical project manager also.
I am based in the Copenhagen area of Denmark, and except for a stint to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in 2017, my career has been in the North Sea, working for companies in DK, N, D and NL. My first job was in Stavanger with a mid-size consultancy. Since then, my base has been Copenhagen (DK) and I have mostly worked for operators within Oil & Gas E&P either as staff or consultant.
My experience and competencies can be group as follows: Petrophysical Formation Evaluation, Data Integration, Well Planning, Operational petrophysics and geology, Static Reservoir Modeling, Complex mature field development.
I am lead author or co-author on 6 technical papers.
