I am a petrophysicist, development geologist and technical project manager with +25 years of project experience acquired within Oil & Gas E&P. I have served as project manager, team lead, team member, stakeholder and even steering committee member. My record includes 12 years of consulting. I have fostered and executed several innovative projects of significant impact. I am lead- or co-author of 5 technical papers. Certifications: IPMA-D and PRINCE2®

I strongly believe the team, and the people, is the key to success of any project. Although I have a very strong focus on objectives, results, delivery and commerciality I NEVER forget my team is the key. I am naturally inclined to strategic thinking and analysis. To this end I am VERY focused when it comes to communication, presentation, stakeholder- and risk management.

My education and technical background allow me to deep dive into practical and functional discussions while keeping the overview and maintain progress of the project. I thrive being involved in complex projects where different subject areas are represented, and challenges of different nature need to be addressed successfully to achieve successful outcome of the project. Identification of risk and mitigation of same is an integral part of the process and at the core of my professional interest. Over the years I have developed special experience dealing with low mobility reservoir rock.

The search for new and improved ways to deal with a challenge is embedded in my mindset. A key skill is my ability to “see the bigger picture” in a business context and propose initiatives of improvement. I listen, collect information and evaluate and once convinced that a study or action should be undertaken I am VERY dedicated and persistent promoting my ideas and initiatives. My record in project management demonstrates that I am good at “selling” ideas and make them gain traction as well as see them through the project phase and deliver a final product of importance.

During my 25 years with 5 different oil companies, I have gained massive experience taking part in projects: both as key project member, project manager or stakeholder. I have experienced many examples of successful and less successful projects. I hold comprehensive experience in the execution of projects.
